WYE MILLS — Emily Jackson of Wye Mills is running for a seat on the Talbot County board of education, representing District 4. Jackson majored in political science at Northeastern University in Boston, and enjoyed a wide variety of internships there, from working at the U.S. Department of Consumer Affairs to interning in Sen. Patrick Leahy’s (D-VT) office. After graduation, she concentrated on policy and nonprofit fundraising for various organizations, including fundraising to raise AIDS awareness and education in Africa.
